30 Hours Early Years Funding
We are delighted to announce that from September 2020 we are able to offer early years 30 hours funded places to eligible 3 and 4 year olds.
We are delighted to announce that from September 2020 we are able to offer early years 30 hours funded places to all our 3 and 4 year old children who are eligible under the Government Childcare Initiative during term time.
Currently we provide the universal 15 hours funded provision to all 3 and 4 years olds from the term after their 3rd birthday. From September 2020 we will be offering the additional extended 15 hours funding to 3 and 4 year old children, from the term after their 3rd birthday, with working parents who meet the Government criteria and are eligible to apply.
Our Nursery and Pre-School sessions will remain unchanged and, if eligible, the 30 hours may be taken across these sessions so that the provision we provide is flexible to work around parents working hours. Any sessions provided beyond 30 hours will be charged in the usual way. Lunches and any additional activities will be charged on the days where the 30 hours funded place is provided.
We have attached a leaflet which explains the criteria required to apply for eligibility codes and gives parents access links for more information.
If you and your child fit the eligibility criteria, your child will receive the universal 15 hours early year funding, which we will continue to apply for on your behalf, plus the additional extended 15 hour early years funding.
Once you have applied and have been successful, you will need to complete the attached form and return it to school. In order to be eligible to apply for the 30 hours funding for the autumn term (ie from 3rd September 2020) eligibility codes must be applied for and be successfully approved by 31st August 2020. Therefore, it is advisable that eligibility codes are applied for by 31st July 2020 to ensure they are received prior to the August deadline.
