Sun SMART!

The whole school listened to an assembly with an important message about staying 'SunSmart.' The children learned the 5 key messages of how to stay safe in the sun.

S -   Spend time in the shade between 11 and 3

M - Make sure you never burn

A -  Always cover up

R -  Remember children burn more easily

T -  Then use factor SPF 15 sunscreen (minimum)

Some of the infant children took part in the assembly and reminded us of what we need to take with us when we are going to spend time in the sun.

Another important message as well as being SunSmart was to drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.

All children were also given a leaflet to take home with lots of information in it on how to stay SunSmart.
