Inter-School Swimming Gala

Some of our Year 3, 5 and 6 children took part in an Inter-School Swimming Gala at Europa Pools in Birkenhead on Tuesday 16th May 2017.

Not having a full squard, because the Year 4 children were away on a residential, added pressure as the children had to enter more than one race especially our Year 3 children who swam for Year 3 and Year 4.

Even with the added pressure the children performed incrediably well and were a credit to the school.  For some this had been their first real experience of school competition at a swimming gala.

VV in Year 3, swam in 9 races as the only girls in Years 3 and 4.  She came joint 1st in the Year 3 Girls Breaststroke and 2nd in the Year 3 Girls Freestyle.

CS in Year 3 came 2nd in the Year 3 Boys Breaststroke.

SA in Year 6 came 2nd in the Year 6 Boys Breaststroke.

NH in Year 6 came 2nd in the Year 6 Girls Breaststroke.

OL in Year 6 came 2nd in the Year 6 Boys Backstroke and Freestyle.

It was a very enjoyable morning for the children and they all behaved impeccably.
