KS2 Art & Craft Day

Year 3 to 6 art and crafts day lead by local artist, Faith Bebington.

On Thursday 15th June we welcomed local artist, Faith Bebbington, to school to help us with our RHS Garden project and Wizard of Oz scenery.  Faith works with recycled materials and worked together with the Year 5 and Year 6 children to create 3D sculptures to be used a part of our RHS School Garden project.  The children also be worked on budgeting, advertising and creating wire insects as part of the project.

In addition to the RHS Garden project activities the children worked in collaboration to create part of the backdrop for our Wizard of Oz production along with creating 3D tree sculptures and paper poppies as part of the scenery.

This was a very exciting opportunity for the children to work with a local artist and learn about working together as a team.

The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in 'hands on' activities for the RHS project and Wizard of Oz props! Superb collaborative working!
