Goldilocks & the Three Bears with Nursery

The Nursery children have engaged with the well loved tale, using props to bring the story to life.
Using bears from the story prop basket, the children had the opportunity to explore size by measuring each bear. They were encouraged to count how many compare bears were the same length as Mummy, Daddy and Baby Bear, and to discuss which bears were the largest and smallest.
In addition to this, the children have been developing their physical skills by using various kitchen utensils and implements to scoop, pour and mix dry and wet porridge oats in bowls whilst being encouraged to talk about the story and the various types of porridge that Goldilocks ate at the house of the Three Bears.
Finally, the children engaged in pretend play using masks and various other props to support their re-enacting of the Goldilocks story.
