In our maths challenge lessons, we have been playing "Countdown" in the same way as the Channel 4 programme. We came across a very challenging one which had us all stumped! With some frantic calculations and a determined attitude, OS (Y6) managed the calculation! Well done to him.

Using the numbers 25, 9, 7, 6, 5 and 4, our target was 683.

His calculation was

6 x 5 = 30,
30 x 25 = 750
750 - (9 x 7) = 687
687 - 4 = 683
